Start off by writing posts that are a little longer than you have been, and with paragraphs. Share a little (or more) about yourself.
This will make others feel like you want to be "part of the community". Comment vomit sensible, relevant comments on others' posts. If you do this on their last five, you will get their attention.
Try to be active on the site between 8.30 and 1030 pm UK time as this is when there are lots of other UK people about and the site is active.
Just a few tips for now.

Listerbelle offers wise words on getting started. I would also say about postings to no do them all at once, I usually do around 4 or 5 each day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon then space 2/3 maybe 4 out over the evening. The site tends to be busier at night uk time I find and generally find faster at this time. If you go to new Bubblews this will show you new submissions, this is a good way of building up your connections by liking and connecting with users you aren't already connected with.
