Help to buy mortgage after BR

Has anyone tried or managed to get a mortgage with the Help to buy scheme the government offer? On another note how long have people waited before trying to get a mortgage after BR, and has it worked?

I have no experience of the help to buy scheme.
Most financial institutions will want to see at least 6 years clear history from discharge.
The bigger the deposit also helps0
