Hi,
Could anyone tell me whether there is any restriction on which stocks I can invest in if I choose to go the SIPP "DIY" route with my pension?

From HMRC's point of view, pretty much all stocks can be held in a SIPP (from big blue chips on recognised exchanges to unlisted shares).
The restriction is more likely to come from the SIPP provider- if you're looking at non-mainstream stocks you may be limited in your choice, and have to pay a higher fee though.0 -
For a standard off the shelf SIPP, it will usually be most shares listed on a major exchange, but it depends on the provider.
A bespoke SIPP also allows investment in unlisted company shares, but comes with significantly more cost (due to checking compliance with HMRC rules). We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a look at some providers.
