Fav Premium Skincare Brand

Do you have a favourite premium Skincare brand? Or do you prefer value brands?

Do you stick to the same brand for everything? Or mix and match?

I've been lucky enough to have been able to purchase some premium bits and bobs to try out and for me, no one brand as a whole performs best! (Yet) I'm not sure of a favourite cleanser/toner yet but I'm loving Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream for getting rid of my dry skin (although it stinks) and Clinique all about eyes

Elemis, but I buy cheaper from ebay or if QVC have a TSV, I cannot use every product as I have roseaca.

Marks and Spencer own brand skincare is fantastic as well.

I don't even go near the cheap supermarket stuff or Boots, they will no doubt break out my roseaca.
  • I love Dermalogica :-) Can't afford all the different products, so I stick with their brilliant Pre-Cleanse, then mix in a few other more affordable items. I like MooGoo milk cleanser, and Nivea moisturisers at the moment.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!

Liz Earle is pretty good really liked the Cleanse and Polish and other bits and bobs. But my favourite cleanser has got to be Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm, its just the best in my opinion it feels lovely and leaves skin really clean and soft and does irrate my skin or eyes.

Alpha- H products also really good especially Liquid Gold, when I sometimes borrow my mum's I can't half notice a difference in my skin the next day. Going have to buy my own.

Pai Organic facial creams are lovely, i've only tried the sample pack you get for £5 but the moisturer for dry skin was really good and just natural ingredients. The exflioater worked wonders on my boyfriends dry flaky skin as well. Its mean't to be fanastic for senstive skin the brand as well.

A brand I love but isn't high end is actually N-Spa from Asda. I've just recently got into it due to hearing bloggers and youtubers giving good reviews on the products. It really feels and smells like an expensive brand and does a really fanastic job. Think its on 3 for £10 at the moment.

Oh and Elemis as well is really nice as others have said.

My mums a bit of a qvc addict and her obession is skincare and makeup so she always ordering something and may give me bits and bobs of high end products or I might borrow things to try. I defo think that its really worth spending money on skincare products especially ones that are more natural. You can get away with cheaper makeup if you have good skin.

Cheap - Boots essential, the blue and white packaging, the eye make up remover pads are outstanding, the whole range is great and part of my rotation.

Most products from this company - http://www.sr-skincare.co.uk/

    Olay 7 signs serum

    Heal balm

Snail gel from Holland & Barratt

Freeze serum from Home Bargains, cant remember the brand but it sells in TK Maxx for £25, I pay £3.99 approx

My ultimate product is Jojoba oil

I do love a premium product but the fragrance and mineral oil cause me skin issues before I realised this I was very partial to Clarins, EL and Clinique were far too harsh, Elemis was ineffective, as was Nuxe and Liz Earle. I tried many other brands over the years but never really settled on one and I still rotate as my skin gets used to products and they simply stop working.

I have tired many, many, many skincare brands over the year but have finally found the one that suits! For me, it is Elemis - my skin is in the best condition it's been in for years. I was 50 last week but have been told I don't look 40 yet! But regardless of looks, it's finally balanced my combination skin and I can wear make-up all day without it sliding off!!!

Clarins and Clinique plus Dermol as a body moisturiser. I'm going to try to switch to organic but not been impressed by Organic Surge.

For me my favourite is the range by Elemental Herbology, a British brand that is natural and has no synthetics, parabens etc. The cell plumping moisturiser & overnight souffl! cream alongside the Radiance facial glow serum & the radiance facial peel and have improved my skin hugely, and I really like their soothe & purify face balm cleanser

Balance me is cheaper, but still natural etc, the radiance face oil is particularly good

I have just been on the 'timetospa' website and they have some offers on their duo packs.

I think I might try the one for combination skin...has anyone any experience of this please?

I've just discovered this. I've tried the balancing cleanser, the instant facial, the protection spf 50+ Moisturiser, the liquid gold, the hydration cream for the non liquid gold nights. The eye cream - loving that (& the hand cream!).
I want to get the face mask, the exfoliator, the syrum in the gold bottle for non liquid gold nights, the cleansing oil & maybe try the serums! Phew - I best get saving!

I find different results with different products, the brands for me don't mean all the products are globally good. I do have a few brands I tend to go back to (Nuxe, Clarins, Elemis, L'Oreal's aimed at 25-35's range) or just hope to one day own (Dermalogica, Chanel, Elemental Herbology, Bobbi Brown...) but as most/all of the expensive skincare I own has been gifted or given as hand-me-downs (there is no way I could ever afford this stuff!) I am unlikely to get to try everything I am curious about, but I am more than happy with hand-me-downs because unless Savers or the Pound Shop sells what I want I am unlikely to buy it.

What I will say is I do notice a big difference in the more expensive brands. When I buy my own stuff I'll look for Garnier, Good Things, L'Oreal when on offer in Savers and various magazine or newspaper freebies). I find that cheaper brands tend to create a film over my skin or can cause spots, they do mean I don't get flakey skin and on the whole there are better brands that are not as bad as others, but I do notice a huge jump in quality when I've tried more expensive brands. Not all are perfect, I've just experienced fewer problems or no problems when using them.
