Participation

1. The Visa 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to legal United Kingdom (UK) residents, who are aged 16 years or over. Employees and their immediate families (parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandparents) of Visa Europe (“Visa” or "Promoter") FIFA and anyone, including Promoter's agents and suppliers, professionally connected with the Promotion are not eligible to enter. Entrants must hold a valid Visa card at time of entry. Valid Visa cards include any Visa debit, credit or prepaid card issued in the UK, including Visa corporate or commercial cards. Entrants must be individuals, not corporate entities, and entrants using Visa corporate or commercial cards must obtain their employer's permission before entering into this Promotion. Entrants are responsible for all tax liabilities that arise in respect of their participation in this Promotion and the receipt of any prizes under this Promotion.
2. No purchase is necessary for residents of Northern Ireland - see clauses 17 to 22 for details.
3. The Promotion commences at 12.00.01 am on 17th March 2014 and ends at 23:59 on 11th May 2014 (the “Promotional Period”).
   Each electronic point of sale transaction made in the UK, including on-line purchases made when entrants are located in the UK with a valid Visa card during the Promotional Period which is then entered in accordance with clause 9 below, will be entered once into the “Daily Instant Win”, “Weekly Prize Draw” and “Final Draw” for the day on which the entry was made.
4. ATM transactions and cash withdrawals are excluded from the Promotion. Entries in the Promotion can only be via visa.co.uk/goldenspace, or via sending a text message with the word ‘Visa’ to 81400 or via Twitter by following the entry instructions at @visagoldenspace. Only one entry per valid transaction can be made.
   Each eligible entry will be entered into each of the contests detailed in clauses 5 A B and C.
   Any winner of any of the match packages at clauses 5B and C who is subject to a Football Banning Order which is in force at any time between 1 June and 11 July 2014 will forfeit their prize package, and the prize package will be awarded to a substitute winner drawn at the same time as the original winner. Any travelling companion chosen by a winner must also not be subject to a Football Banning Order which is in force at any time between 1 June and 11 July 2014.

Prize Details

1. 1. “Daily Instant Win” prizes – There will be 560 separate randomly computer-generated ‘winning moments’ throughout the Promotional Period – 10 winning moments for each of the 56 days of the Promotional Period.
      Daily Instant Win prize winners will be determined by the proximity in time of receipt of their entry to certain dates and times (winning moments) allocated at random using a secure, independently verified computer-based programme under independent supervision prior to the start of the Promotion. A winner of a Daily Instant Win prize will be the entrant whose entry is received closest in time to a winning moment on the day of entry. If there has not been an entry between one Winning Moment (“Moment 1”) and the next Winning Moment (“Moment 2”), then the prize in respect to Moment 1 will be re-allocated to Moment 2 and so on until all prizes have been awarded. For example, if Moment 1 falls at 12.13pm and Moment 2 at 13.29pm and the first participant to enter after 12.13pm enters at 13.30 pm, then that person will be awarded the Moment 1 prize and the Moment 2 prize will be allocated to the next entry.
      Entrants will find out instantly whether they have won and details of how to claim the prize.
      Throughout the Promotional Period, there will be the following prizes available to be won:
      
      • 10 x Visa Prepaid cards loaded with £100 on each of the 56 days.
      Visa Prepaid cards can be used at retailers displaying the Visa logo. Full terms and conditions regarding use of the Visa Prepaid card will be sent with the card.
      
   2. “Weekly Prize Draws” for a “FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Package” – all valid entries during the Promotional Period (excluding those who have been drawn as winners of previous FIFA World Cup trip prizes for this Promotion) will be entered into the Weekly Prize Draw (for the week in which the entry is made and also into the draw for each subsequent week - each draw closes at 23:59.59 on Sunday each week) to win a FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Package. There are two FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Packages to be won in each of the weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 during the Promotional Period.
      The winners will be drawn at random using a secure, independently verified computer-based programme under independent supervision.
      There will be two sets of five Weekly Prize Draws in total during the Promotional Period (two each Monday for the previous week’s entries) with the final Weekly Prize Draws taking place on Monday 21st April 2014.
      There will therefore be a total of ten FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match
      Packages available to be won over the Promotional Period, in accordance with the above.
      Each FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Package consists of: a trip for the winner plus one guest (travelling together) to Brazil to see England v Uruguay in the group stage FIFA World Cup™ match taking place in Sao Paolo on 19 June 2014 comprising international flights from London Heathrow to Brazil departing London on Tuesday 17 June 2014 arriving in Brazil on Wednesday 18 June 2014, departing Brazil on Saturday 21 June 2014 and arriving in London on Sunday 22 June 2014, rail travel within the UK (if required), 2 Category II tickets for the England match, 4-days / 3 nights in 4 star accommodation based on double occupancy in Brazil, daily breakfast in the hotel, one US$300 Visa gift card (Currency: Brazilian Real – BRL), Hospitality event either on Match Day or Tour Day, meet and greet service upon arrival at the airport, all scheduled ground transportation at the destination, guided sightseeing tour, Visa/ FIFA-themed merchandise plus one of the three unique FIFA World Cup™ backstage match experiences below. Winners will not have the opportunity to choose which experience they receive as this will be pre-allocated, subject to availability and may change on the day, due to the operations and security priorities.
      The three unique FIFA World Cup™ backstage match experiences are:
      
      1. Pre-Match Warm-up Tour
      2. Pre-Match Stadium Tour
      3. Pitch-Side photo at half time.
      The programme and schedule of events of the package is subject to change.
      
   3. “Final Draw” for a “FIFA World Cup™ Final Match Package” – All valid entries, (excluding any winners of Weekly Prize Draws) during the Promotional Period will be entered into the FIFA World Cup™ Final Draw on 28th April, 5th May, 12th May 2014, to win one of the three FIFA World Cup™ Packages.
      Each “FIFA World Cup™ Final Match Package” consists of a trip for the winner plus one guest (travelling together) to Brazil to see the FIFA World Cup™ Final on 13 July 2014 comprising: international flights from London Heathrow to Brazil (departing 9 July, arriving in Brazil via Frankfurt 10 July, returning to London via Frankfurt on 15 July) rail travel within the UK (if required), 2 Category II tickets for the match, 5-days / 4 nights accommodation in Brazil (accommodation on cruise ship MSC Divina, based on double occupancy), daily breakfast, US$400.00 Visa gift card (currency: Brazilian Real – BRL), pre-match hospitality, meet and greet service upon arrival at the airport, all scheduled ground transportation in Brazil, guided sightseeing tour and Visa/ FIFA-themed merchandise.
2. The following are not included in either the FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Packages or FIFA World Cup™ Final Match Packages described above, and winners will be responsible for:
   
   • Non-scheduled meals and transportation
   • Providing valid passports or visas. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel and have at least 3 blank pages
   • Ensuring that visa requirements are met, organised or paid for
   • Ensuring that health (including immunizations if required) and travel requirements are me
   • Travel or medical insurance. Travel insurance for winner and guest must be arranged before departure
   • Hotel incidentals (e.g. phone, minibar, laundry etc)
   • Any applicable taxes.
3. The prizes are as described above and no cash or alternative prizes are available – except, that in the event of totally unexpected circumstances outside of its control resulting in the above prizes being unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to provide alternative prizes of equal value.
4. Winners of the FIFA World Cup™ England Stage Match Package or the FIFA World Cup™ Final Match Package must be able to travel to and from Brazil on the travel dates specified above. All match package prizes are subject to flight and trip operators' terms and conditions. No guests travelling on a package can be under the age of 16 and at least one of the two guests travelling on the package must be 18 or over. Winners under the age of 18 will be required to obtain their parents'/guardians' consent to these terms, must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18 years or over) and have parental consent to travel. Any guests of winners (travelling with winners) under the age of 18 must also have parental consent to travel.
5. How to enter
   
   There are 3 ways of entering the promotion, ‘Entry Types’:
   
   • Entry via the Website
   • Entry via Twitter
   • Entry via SMS
   Each entry made must have a corresponding Visa Payment. One Visa Payment may only be used in respect of one entry irrespective of Entry Type.
   ‘Proof of Purchase’: The Promoter will only accept proof of purchase for Visa transactions made from the start date of the Promotional Period up to (and including) the date of entry as valid. Copies of receipts (paper and online) or the relevant section of a bank statement are acceptable as Proof of Purchase.
   Each Visa cardholder may only enter the Promotion up to a maximum of 10 times per day within the Promotional Period irrespective of Entry Type.
   
   1. Entry via the Website - "Website Entry"
      Visa Cardholders (other than those resident in Northern Ireland, for whom 17-22 of these Terms and Conditions apply), can enter for free online at www.visa.co.uk/goldenspace once they have made a Visa Payment.
      Upon each Website Entry the Visa Cardholder will be required to provide the following information:
      
      • entrant’s first name and last name;
      • entrant’s email address;
      • entrant’s mobile telephone number (or other contact number to enable prize fulfilment)
      • confirmation that the entrant has accepted these Terms and Conditions.
      Timing of entries will be based upon the time of receipt by the Promoter. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any entries that are delayed or that are unable to be sent due to lack of internet access, operator error, or for any other reasons beyond its control. Proof of sending will not be taken as proof of entry.
      For prize fulfilment purposes, the Promoter will communicate with entrants via the email address (and where necessary, the telephone number) used to enter the competition at no extra cost to the entrant.
      
   2. Entry via Twitter - "Twitter Entry"
      
      • To enter via Twitter entrant can go to @visagoldenspace
      • Click on the top tweet
      • Browser page will open and ask for entrant’s email address (and tick box for agreement to T&Cs)
      • If an entrant wins, they will be sent an email with claim details (as per online entry process)
   3. Entry via SMS - “SMS Entry”
      The mobile provider running the SMS entry is Cymba Integrated Solutions Ltd. 110 Gloucester Avenue, London, NW1 8HX
      Upon entering, users will receive an SMS by return indicating whether they are a winner or not.
      Text charges will apply at standard network rates. Network rates may vary depending on your network operator. Please contact your network operator for full details of your standard network rate. 1 text only required per entry.
      Timing of SMS Entries will be based upon the time of receipt by the Promoter. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any entries that are delayed or that are unable to be sent due to lack of network coverage, operator error, or for any other reasons beyond its control. Proof of texting will not be taken as proof of entry.
      For prize fulfilment purposes, the Promoter will communicate with entrants via the mobile number used to enter the competition.
6. Selection and notifications of winners
   • For all prize draws, potential winners will be drawn at random using a secure, independently verified computer-based programme under independent supervision.
   • Entrants will be informed that they have won a prize (a “Notification”) on the following timescales:
     
     1. “Daily Instant Win prizes” - winners will be notified instantly with instructions of how to claim the prize.
     2. “Weekly Prize Draw” (FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Match Package) – winners will be notified within 24 hours of each week’s draw. This communication will contain instructions on how to claim the prize.
     3. “Final Draws” - winners will be notified within 24 hours of each week’s draw. This communication will contain instructions on how to claim the prize.
   • Once an entry has been selected:
     
     • Website Entry winners will receive Notification by email.
     • Twitter Entry winners will receive Notification by email. If the winner's email address is not available to Promoter, the winner will receive a direct Twitter message from @visagoldenspace asking them to follow @visagoldenspace and provide their email address.
     • An SMS Entry winner will receive Notification by return SMS within 48 hours of the relevant prize draw.
7. To claim weekly draw brizes or final draw prizes
   • Once winners have received the Notification, winners can only claim their prize by completing the online claim form and uploading a copy of their receipt or bank statement which clearly shows the valid Visa Payment which corresponds to their entry (Proof of Purchase).
   • In order to meet the timeframes required for booking flights, accommodation and other logistics for the trips to the FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil, the Weekly Draw Prize or Final Draw online claim forms must be received by the Promoter within 3 days of the date of Notification. The Notification shall be deemed to be received by the winner on the date and at the time that it has been sent by the Promoter.
8. Unclaimed weekly draw or final draw prizes
   • In the event that the Promoter cannot contact a winner after taking all reasonable steps to do so (or if the winner does not claim their prize within the specified timescale of receiving Notification) the Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to decide that unclaimed prizes for Weekly Prize Draws or Final Draws will be awarded to a substitute winner (who has been drawn at random in the same way and at the same time as the original winner(s)).
   • In the event that the Promoter decides (in accordance with this clause) that prizes will be awarded to substitute winners, such substitute winners will receive a Notification in accordance with clause 10. Substitute winners of the Weekly Prize Draw or Final Draws must complete the online claim form within 48 hours of receiving Notification.
9. To claim daily instant win prizes
   
   Daily Instant Win prize claims must be received within 21 days of the date of Notification by completing the online claim form, along with relevant Proof of Purchase. The Notification shall be deemed to be received by the winner on the date and at the time that it has been sent by the Promoter.
   The verification process will take a further 7 days from receipt of claim.
   If a Prize winner has not contacted the Promoter within 14 days of the Notification Email the Promoter shall attempt to contact the winner by the phone number provided.
10. Unclaimed daily instant win prizes
    
    In the event that any Daily Instant Win prize is unclaimed or disqualified or the Visa Payment cannot be verified the Promoter may re-allocate the associated prize at the end of the Promotional period and a further prize draw will take place in respect of these Prizes (the “Additional Daily Prize Draw”~).
    Eligible entries for the Additional Daily Prize Draw shall be any entry for the Promotion that has not previously been selected in a draw during the Promotional Period.
    The Additional Prize Draw will take place on 29 May 2014 and shall be subject to the same selection and moderation conditions as set out above. In respect of the Additional Prize Draw winners must claim their prize within 14 days of the date of Notification that they have been selected as a winner in the Additional Daily Prize Draw (the verification of a Visa Payment must then be completed within 28 days of such notice).

Delivery of Prizes

1. Visa Prepaid Cards: Allow 28 days from validation of prize claim for delivery of a winning Visa Prepaid card via the postal service. A unique PIN will be issued separately via post. Once both elements are received then it’s ready to use.
2. Packages: FIFA World Cup™ England Group Stage Package winners and the FIFA World Cup™ Final Match Packages winners will be contacted by the Promoter in advance, to confirm / organise all trip details.

Nothern Ireland - No Purchase Necessary Entry Route

1. Residents of Northern Ireland can enter the Promotion without making a purchase, although they are required to be Visa card holders. Northern Ireland residents can enter the Promotion by sending their full card holder name, postal address with postcode, email, phone number and the first 6 digits of their Visa card to Visa 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Promotion NPN, 7 Quay House, The Quay, Poole BH15 1HA.
2. Only 10 separate postal entries (via the aforementioned address) per person per day in total will be accepted by the Promoter and only one entry per stamped envelope must be submitted.
3. All entries from Northern Ireland residents must be received within the Promotional Period.
4. For Daily Instant Win prizes, all eligible entries will be entered manually into the Promotion at random on the day that the fulfilment house received the entry. For Daily Prizes, all eligible entries will be manually entered into the Promotion into the daily prize draw for the day that the fulfilment house received the entry.
5. Prizes won by entrants resident in Northern Ireland will only be despatched to postal addresses in Northern Ireland that match the postcode submitted on their entry. All other Terms and Conditions will apply.
6. Proof of postage is not proof of receipt of entry.

Limitations of Liability

1. Neither the Promoter nor any associated parties assume any responsibility or liability under contract or tort (including negligence) for that arises from circumstances beyond their reasonable control including (without limitation):
   
   • Communications failure beyond the control of Promoter, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this Promotion; and
   • Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet, any relevant website, or a mobile phone network or any combination thereof.
2. The Promoter will not be held liable to any participant for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any events beyond its control.

General

1. The card issuer’s and any merchant’s standard terms, conditions, fees and charges will apply to the use of their Visa card during the Promotional Period.
2. When entering online, or via Twitter, entrants will receive confirmation of entry on screen. When entering via SMS, entrants will receive confirmation of entry via return SMS free of charge.
3. The Promoter's decision is final in all matters relating to the Promotion.
4. The Promoter reserves (in its sole discretion and so far as is legally permissible) the right to verify, using all reasonable means available to it, whether an entry is based on a valid and eligible Visa transaction. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or of the spirit of the Promotion, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, refuse to accept an entry and, if necessary, re-allocate any prizes won in accordance with clause 12. To avoid disappointment the Promoter recommends that all winners keep copies of their claim form and Proof of Purchase.
5. The prize winners, by accepting their prizes, consent to the Promoter (in its sole discretion) publishing their names, counties, photographs and any statements made by or attributed to them in relation to the prizes or Promotion on the www.visa.co.uk/goldenspace website and in any print, point of sale or other public relations materials related to the Promotion. The Promoter may require prize winners to provide this consent in writing to the Promoter prior to receiving their prize (or if the winners are under 18 years of age, consent from their parents/guardians).
6. Names and Counties of the winners may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope by 14th July 2014 to Visa 2014 Visa FIFA Winners’ List, 7 Quay House, The Quay, Poole BH15 1HA.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this Promotion in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity
8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received, not delivered, incomplete, indecipherable, or not in accordance with the entry instructions. No responsibility will be accepted for any entries that are delayed or that are unable to be sent due to lack of network coverage, operator error, or for any other reasons beyond its control. Promoter must receive an entry for it to be valid - proof of sending entries will not constitute deemed entry.
9. The Prize will be awarded to the cardholder who enters and receives the winning email. No other individual is eligible to claim the Prize nor can the Prize be transferred to a third party.
10. All winners (and their accompanying travel partner) of prizes which include travel to Brazil will need to verify they comply with the age restrictions set out in these terms and conditions by providing a copy / scan of their passport page which details their date of birth. No duplicate copies will be made and all copies will be securely destroyed once validated.
11. All winners of prizes which include travel to Brazil will need to verify they are Visa cardholders as set out in these terms and conditions by providing the 1st 6 digits of the full 16 digit card number on their Visa card.
12. In administering this Promotion, the Promoter may collect personal information from entrants. The Promoter is well aware of its obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable data privacy laws and it will only use entrants' information for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion and in accordance with Visa Europe's Privacy Policy and any preferences expressed by entrants during the Promotion entry process, as to which see clause 37 below.
13. If entrants select the opt-in feature to receive marketing communications from the Promoter when making an entry, omission to opt-in again when making a subsequent entry does not represent a valid request to opt-out of receiving those communications; entrants who wish to opt-out having previously opted-in at the time of an earlier entry must follow the instructions on the website or any further communications to opt-out of receiving those communications.

15. The Promotion, these terms and conditions, and any matter arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

For each entry? so if you enter 10 times in one day and you win you would have to prove you'd used your card 10 times that day?

yes i believe you can. any card as long as it's a visa. plenty of people have won visa comps in the past and I've never known anyone to be disallowed by using a debit card.
