Perhaps I'm having a thick day :D but on the radio it advertised this offer as 'free gamecard, no purchase necessary, minimum spend £10'!

How can you say there is no purchase necessary and then say minimum spend a tenner?

    Or have I missed something?!

It's probably a gaming law thing. So they are handing them out for a minimum spend of £5/£10 but you can get one free gamecard/Nectar card, maybe per day.

I don't think much of these 'prizes'. Most of them are of the type that you can find free elsewhere if you look hard enough.

Yeah, but I think most of us are aiming for the nectar points prize.

The minimum spend condition applies in-store. However you can get a gamecard without having spent anything by applying in writing to err..dunno. Think you need to ask at customer services for the address you write to. Cashiers aren't permitted to hand out gamecards to people who spend less than a tenner.
