I Won :) Duty to pay :(

I Won as I posted here...

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4915771

Today I get a missed notification from UPS to say I have to pay £85.03 Duty : Eek:: Eek:

I queried this with UPS they advised it is indeed an XBOX ONE!!! OMG I'm in shock this is huge...

However do I pay the Duty, can this console even be used in the UK ... So confused any advice welcome.

Assuming it's the American version then the power adapter will need to be replaced.

According to this mag it is region free

For around £100 you are getting a console that sells for £400 but if there are any problems with it I am not sure what service/guarantee you will have.

Thanks Mjm, Much appreciated, I booked for redelivery Thursday and emailed the sender on the invoice to see if they will contact UPS to change the shipping terms, either way I will be happy to pay it but guess you don't get if you don't try... haven't told him indoors yet cause he's at work... he will be thrilled!

    UPDATE:
Just received an email update from the prize supplier, she has contacted UPS and paid the duty for me!! :j:j

Now just the power cable issue.... According to the Xbox forum though once I register the device with Microsoft I can request an order of a UK cable.... Things are looking up!!
