Pension Contributions - is it wise to pay as much as possible into pension?

    Like I said above, pay enough into a pension to take you both out of HRtax completely. If you have cash in unwrapped accounts, add a but more on top or those will be taxed at higher rate if they push you over.

    My code is 656L, I've tried to work it out and I think my contributions should be 25% based on my salary of £48500 that was using http://www.listentotaxman.com

    Does that look right?
