    I find percentages helpful too.
Breaking down my goal into 1% chunks.

My goal for the house deposit this year is £2000 as I mentioned, my boyfriend is aiming for £500 this year (as he has other commitments this year like his college fees).
So rather than basing it on how much we've saved (I've got £470 whereas he's only got £50 saved so far - not bad considering we've only really been thinking about saving for the last month or so), I'm comparing it in percentages of overall goal. I'm at 23% and he's at just 10% (not that I like showing off to him ;))

Having someone to challenge also helps motivate me.
Why not try popping by some of the challenge threads such as 12k in 2014, £2014 in 2014 or the make £10 per day monthly challenges if you haven't already :)
    Debts (as of 28/10/15)

hey all sorry been up to my eyes in Cant be Ar$*D ...

have been plodding along as normal ... paying bills and trying to work out money, i have paid another wee bit to the visa debt and a wee bit more to the mortgage debt, but i have been spending excessively on the visa.

This month i am cutting my visa limit down to £500 as i currently am not in control of it, i will have to use the emergency savings to pay this months bill , and will slowly have to build that back up :(

ach well its a marathon and not a sprint

    Hi,

Long time lurker and had a diary before under another name, sadly someone in RL stalked me so time for a change.

Not going to share any basic info at this stage as I don't want this person finding me again, but I have no doubt that I will " leak" parts of myself through time.

This diary is aimed so far at getting rid of the 0% credit card I currently have, I don't think I will have got rid of it by the time the 0% runs out so will have to transfer again, I hope however to get it as low as possible

Wish me well on this challenge and join me if you fancy

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
