Never heard back from an interview

It's so rude!! I have had two unsuccessful interviews recently...well I have had to assume they were unsuccessful given the fact both companies have failed to contact me in any form!!! So annoying!!0

Very bad manners, and makes the company look unprofessional IMO. I generally ask at the end of an interview, how long will it take to hear back from them and if I haven't heard after that time I assume I have been unsuccessful. I once did a whole day interview, with presentation (I had spent a few hours preparing) and group exercises, for a large UK retail company and received NO feedback! I wouldn't apply for a job with them again now.0

What these A******s don't realise is that a lot of people have to lose a days salary or waste a days holiday to attend an interview.
Oh and another thing to Job interviewers. Please realise that most people have to give a months notice after being offered the job.
If you wanted someone to start sooner then you should have got off your backside and began the recruitment process earlier.:mad:0 -
I would email them when got home from interview, thanking them for seeing you etc, and ask for starting date (shows confidence!), or at least some feedback on how it went..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

My friend had this. Her current employer required three months notice, but as the company was in financial trouble and she was on the redundancy list they agreed before she started job hunting they would only require one month.
She was offered a job and they wanted her to start within 10 days. We're talking a professional management role here, £35k+ managing a team. When she said she had to give a month's notice they withdrew their offer saying she wasn't flexible enough or committed to the new position.
Unbelievable.1 -
Just out of interest, what would everybody here do if one of these companies got back to you a few months down the road and said they wanted you to apply for a job that has just come up and that you are a strong candidate based on your previous interview.
Would you go?0 -
Bae Systems in Preston.
I was interviewed 4 times for different jobs (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) and am yet to be rejected. No I lie, I was rejected via an agency, for 1 of them but never managed to get feedback.
I am still waiting on the others. I might apply again, just for a laugh.0 -

Yes. why not ?0 -
Husband went for an interview via an agency once. Took a day off work, traveled 160 miles round trip for it, only to find when he got there the agency had forgotten to get confirmation off the interviewer and they weren't expecting him. Very embarrassing and a complete waste of his time and our money.Make £2025 in 2025

So if they interviewed you before, never got back to you and gave no feedback, you'd go through the process again?0
