I've been recently using La Roche-Posay skincare products. They sell it in boots but there isn't neccessarily a counter for it. I get a lot of my beauty/skincare advice from youtube and the likes.0

My skin is dreadful - I have rosacea, huge pores and regular pimples (at the grand old age of 64), it depresses me just to think about it
I've been looking at the Clarisonic after seeing it (or something similar) on QVC. It is expensive but from the reviews it seems to be pretty good and to be fair, using creams and potions certainly hasn't done me much good over the years and has probably cost 5 times what the Clarisonic costs.
Have a look at it and the reviews - it may not work out much more expensive in the long run.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I would definetly buy one of these if I could afford it! Boots No.7 do a simular sort of brush which I am thinking of purchasing: http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Beautiful-Skin-Cleansing-Brush_1304042/0 -

I've already got the Clarisonic. Bought it a few years back and wouldn't be without it now! If I ever don't use it, for example when away on holiday, I can tell quite a difference.
I would definitely recommend it. It's the only money I've ever spent on anything like proper skincare and I'm glad I did.0 -
Usually Deba***ms have multiple beauty counters that you can go and try. Ask if you can take sachets of the products to try before you buy as some of them are quite expensive and you wouldn't want to buy a full range and then it go to waste - I did this once and learnt my lesson!!
I would recommend that your skincare routine should be something like:-
Morning - Exfoliating cleaner, toner, day moisturiser, preferably with an SPF in and an eye cream if you would prefer.
Evening - Creamy/foaming wash, toner, night moisturiser and eye cream
Once/Twice a week you want to be having a face mask that is suited to your skin type.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Clarins is definetly my favourite brand. I swear by their Foaming Cleanser, it doesn't dry my skin, and you only need the tiniest amount, a tube lasts me for months.
Another favourite brand is Decleor. I like their aroma night balms, they feel like a real treat for your skin.
ETA: I vary my brand of moisturiser, but I find myself coming back to Clarins again and again.0 -

Have a look at the foreo luna. It's amazing. I reviewed it extensively before I bought it because of the cost. It's so easy to use. :T0 -
I now use Clarins but in the past I have used Elemis and Dermalogica as they are all plant-based and all have been good for my skin. Dermalogica tends to be sold in some salons as does Elemis.
I have a clay mask that I use which is Clarins - smear it on, wash it off which really clears the dead skin from my face and makes my skin look brighter. I am quite naughty though as I do not moisturise every day (never have) yet my skin remains clear (I am over 50). I also use a serum when the weather is particularly cold. At night I might give my skin a treat by using some Bobbi Brown Facial Oil - it is heavenly.0 -
If you don't mind spending a bit more money then go to a sk:n clinic, they will be able to recommend products that suit your skin type. They sell a range of products from own brand, Avene, skinceuticals. All clinically tested.0
