Mother's Day?

I'm a single mum to a 2.5 year old, so don't get anything for mother's day from anyone. I was thinking of taking us two out for a meal on the sat before if the sunday tends to be busy- not sure how it is really?
Anyway, I've seen somewhere before that some places do free entry or offers to mums on mother's day, like free dad entry on father's day. This would be great for us two to have a little treat day at low cost!
Looking for anything in West Midlands, preferably around Coventry area, have done a quick Google search but any help would be fantastic

We've just booked at Table Table. Mums are free on Mothers Day.
I think kids can eat free at certain times of the day....but I suspect they won't have you both there for free ;-)0 -
Never heard of Table Table - great find!0

I've never heard of places that lets mothers eat free.
How do you prove you are the mother?
I often take my niece out and people do assume I'm her mum.
Or what if a child, mother and grandmother go? There's 2 sets of mothers there so only the son/daughter has to pay?0 -
I went to Wetherspoons pub last year with my mum, husband and sons.
Mam and i got a free dessert with a main meal.Just told barmaid theres 2 mums on our table.0 -
You might want to check the Table Table offer. I read somewhere yesterday that they only feed Mums for free after 4pm.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Loads of places in my part of the world have been doing this for a few years now - Mainly chain places or country/family pubs. Some also do "Dads eat free" on Fathers Day but not quite so many.
I don't know how you prove it - but I've got a feeling that having any old dear in your party would be acceptable. After all, they really just want the profit from the rest of your party buying food.0 -
I drove past the hungry horse pub (near the big asda/toys r us, not sure where exactly in coventry that is but not far from Walsgrave lol) the other day and sure they had a promotion on for mums eat free0
