Endowment Policy maturing but divorced

Hi I hope someone can give me some advice as I am pulling out hairs at the moment. Here is the story:
I divorced in 96 and we agreed a consent order which has been sealed by the court. Part of the settlement was that I paid my ex off for an endowment and keep the policy. Silly me did not get the policy assigned to a single name and now the policy is about to mature.
I have sent my Divorce Papers and Consent order to the Endowment Co but they have written back telling me that it is not proof that the settlement was actioned and that they are trying to contact my Ex.
Now for the last 18 years I have paid the policy out of my funds, have the consent order and divorce papers but have and want no contact with my Ex (I don't even know where she lives or have contact with any of her family)
What can I do to finalize this matter without tracking her down?
Thank you

I don't think you can. When I divorced and was allowed to keep endowment I still had to get ex husbands signature saying policy now in my name and life insurance only in my name too. It did take me years to get the signature and up till that time he was getting notification of value and any other posted items, as was I. Are you sure the endowment company don't have her address?0

See a solicitor?
Preferably the one you used when you divorced (who probably should have sorted all this out at the time)0 -

That is one thing I am thinking about however I had to send the original documents to the Endowment Policy so will need to find out who I used.
I jst don't understand if this was done legally why there should be problems :mad:0 -
Just to add however not being a Lawyer how can the Gov state that consent orders are binding but the Endowment Co does not respect this given that they have a certified copy of the consent order??
This is specified on the UK Gov website0
