halifax mortgage deed

Hi we are part way in buying a house we have had our mortgage offer, i was just wondering when we have to sign the mortgage deed?

    Your solicitor and the mortgage company will tell you when you need to sign stuff. Not sure what/ why you are asking

    Most solicitors do mortgage deed and contract at the same time.

  • Can vary depending upon solicitor but we normally expect the solicitor to 'report' to the client prior to proposed exchange and include the deed to be signed (but not dated at that time).
