Amazon UK Affilate scheme and Tax

I just started as an amazon uk affilate this week, adding a few links to my site. I don't think I'll make a huge amount of money, but every little helps.

I work 9-5 in an office. How does the amazon affilate scheme impact the tax I pay and how I pay it?

Would I be better taking it in vouchers or cash in my bank account from a tax point of view?

You need to register as self employed with the HMRC. When you fill out the tax return, it asks what your income is in total from other things like employment. If your total income is over a certain amount then you need to pay tax on your affiliate earnings.

Im not sure how taxes are done if you are paid by vouchers, but if you contact Amazon via their live chat then im sure they'd be able to tell you.
