Nationwide - Gift Hamper on Moving in Day?

Hi,

My friends recently moved into their new home with a nationwide mortgage and on the day they were moving in a courier turned up with a gift hamper for them full of things like milk, tea bags, fruit etc. a really nice touch!

Has anyone else had this or is it because they were 'special' customers? They did have a big deposit!

We're NW FTB at 95% LTV

Completed in February and day after settlement (Scotland) we received our Nationwide Home Move Box!

We had no idea about it so was a fab surprise and it amazingly included a radiator bleeding key which was just what we needed to shut the central heating up haha!

We're still using the contents even now!

These freebies are useless unless they include a kettle.

Because you can never remember where you packed the kettle!

Simple: Don't pack the kettle! Or if you do, have a moving-in box containing kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, dried milk, some mugs, spoons & loo roll. If it's open topped then stuff won't get stacked on top and load it last so it's first into the new property.
