Wife not on Joint Mortgage

she's happy there   but for how long?    you say   a new house her name would not be added to it    well would this now not be a good time to put her foot down and demand it to be    or even   his wage alone may not be enough for the mortgage to lend on   so joint names will b needed for the application form for the mortgage. i also bet it would b like a fresh start for her and she would feel like the home was her own...b

Unfortunately you can lead a horse to water but cannot make it drink.
The salary bit is interesting - will keep fingers crossed that comes back can't afford it on his salary alone ;D

I have something to ask if someone can help me.

Actually, things are not getting right between me and my husband and he might give me divorce.

The house in which we are living is on his name and is on mortgage as well. I need to ask that how I can register my name on that property (this house was bought after we got married).

Also, he owns another property, so if he gives me divorce, am I entitled to anything or not.

From the answers I got here and on Discussion, it seems you don't have a great deal to worry about. Even tho your name is not on mortgage you will be entitled to your share. I would suggest trip to CAB to double check tho- and if you find out anything would you please post back here as it may help someone else in same situation. Many Thanks
