Pcn liverpool airport

Options
I have received a PCN from Liverpool Airport. Should I ignore it, and not reply, or am I best to write a letter explaining why I won't be paying?

If you want to read other similar threads, then search this forum for one unusual keyword. Could be the name of the PPC, such as 'UKCPS' or could something about the car park (e.g. 'Peel Centre' or 'Airport', or 'Railway' or 'Motorway').

Well done for starting your own Thread and not hi-jacking.

I am new to all this and naive! I was driving my sons car and he got the PCN, so I returned it saying I was the driver. I did all this before I read all the advice on this website.
Will this effect him or his credit file in any way? Im sure they will attempt to say it will if I don't pay.

It won't affect him and no-one will pay anything.

Well, you might pay for a stamp but your CoP will be free at the PO, if you back up your online challenge.

Who would you prefer to listen to, jeanie?- contaminant tripe from ppcs or the experts on here that defeat them at POPLA every time?

It's a pity you've said you were driving, but not critical.

Keep reading, but not to the point that you're feeling battered and confused by information. There are hundreds like you doing the same right now, knowing that they'll pay NOTHING.

Read a bit more now - have you found the airports section. Local authorities have taken a dim view of this, as has your MP:

Is this letter ok to send?
    Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to the above PCN, the driver is appealing against this as they did not see the signs, and therefore did not enter into a contract.
Your invoice is refuted, and I suggest you accept the appeal or send a POPLA code.
I believe the driver did not stop, or wait in a restricted area/roadway. They merely picked up, and this took seconds!
In light of this, it is clear the driver is not liable for the parking notice, and requests that the charge is cancelled accordingly.

I suggest you look at the appeal letter in this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 and also read through it too, but try to tailor your appeal to recent similar threads about the same PPC and airport

like this one which has a popla appeal in it once you have a popla code from V.C.S.

and this one too , with suitable amendments as explained within it

jeanie - go along the pale green headings bar and click Search[3rd from right]

'Search Theads' is already active. Enter Liverpool Airport in that dropdown.

NO. This is NOT ok and does you harm.

The appeal should be about legal points and NOT about what happened. Use one of the advised initial appeals and repost it up here.
