does avon actually make you any money? I got all the kleeneze bumff but looked like you needed 50 orders a week to even get £100 and as i live in a rural area theres a fair hike to get around 50 houses!!

I did Avon for a while and made a fair bit of money from it - about £60 a time with not a lot of effort. All on foot, and just moved into the area so didn't know the neighbours. I got a few really good customers who kept things ticking over and any additional sales were a bonus.

I don't know that there is the same call for typing now. nearly all work is done on computer. I used to take in theses that were handwritten and type them out but hardly anyone writes anything nowadays. And nearly all students have computer access.

Ironing would be difficult without a car, unless you have people bring it to you? Can make good money at it I think. I have a friend who does it, deliberately only has a few customers and can makes around a £100 per week.

    good luck

I do data entry work from home. I found the job in my local paper, I was a bit dubious at first, as it sounded too good to be true, but I get regular work from them, I tell them when I want to do work, so the extra cash comes in handy. The company is called Brillco, I know at the moment they aren't taking anyone on as I have asked for my sister, but it's worth looking into it in the future. Oh and you don't have to send them a fee to get started, and as long as you send in your time sheet by Wednesday, the money goes into your bank account on a Friday.
  • Have you thought about Usborne childrens books,

The good thing about Usborne is that you can do as little or as much as your own commitments allows.

My own team is a mix of parents who are ether looking for a little extra cash and joined as a hobby right through to those who are laucnhing their own work from home career with Usborne.

You can organise a parties, events or fete stalls, selling to friends, family, schools and libraries

If you are interested in any information please feel free to browse through the online information or message me here in the forums or pm

There are no targets to meet however there are lots of incentives, offer and rewards available to all Usborne Organisers

I hope this information is of interest to and wish you all the best in your search for work from opprtunities, take you time in selecting which is the best for you and your family

    Regards
    Marie
    Its a jungle out there...
  • as someone said earlier be very wary of companies offering homework for a fee etc? and same for 'imput data controller' jobs too. can you make anything? you could make toiletries like bath bombs/fizzies/soaps etc, sell them on ebay or to friends fairs etc. or someone mentioned earlier about ironing, (was something i was gonna do about a year ago) you could print your own ads and put them in supermarkets and shops etc. i only work for about 7 months a year so when i'm not working i usually sell stuff on ebay, i used to trawl the charity shops looking for decent stuff, then sell it for at least twice i paid for (you'd be surprised whats collectable now) tuperware! i mostly sold vintage books.
    totally a tog!:D

sorry i posted the earlier thread without reading yours properly re; imput comtroller etc, that sounds fantastic, i've been warned about scam ones, (my o/h tried about 4 years ago but he got virtually nothing) but you've got a decent one there! well done!

I think I struck lucky with this, as I said, I do the work when I want to, sometimes they don't have any work to give you, but when they do, they email you, or you email them to see if there is any. I was dubious at first about it, but I am glad I found it, the extra cash comes in handy:D
  • Well so far I did not have a memorable experience as far as working from home is concerned. Initially like many others I fell into the trap by investing money as a part of registration which got forfeited and then there were some which asked for skills but then again after work submission were never to be seen again. So I am gradually developing the impression these are mostly scam and nothing else.
  • years ago me and my mum made plastic jewellry that had to be made up like the earings being put on plastic holders etc.

can anyone recomend any company for things like this?
