Guarantor loan - help please

How did she even take it out if she didn't have a bank account?
It is normal for the money to be deposited into the guarantors account but she must have had a bank account to open the loan.
I suspect she had a bank account that is overdrawn to the "nth" degree and she now needs a new one to get any money paid in to so it is not swallowed up.
Could be wrong, but I thought everyone was able to open a basic bank account? Just not one with a credit facility or cheque book. But perhaps that's the issue - wanting one with bells and whistles?LBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T
