IPOQ???? & My SOA. Any advice please?

I've been reading a few posts on this site & i have come across a recent one talking about an IPOQ. It appears from posts that this is issued out anytime before discharge incase there is room for an IPA. This has got me panicking as things are already so tight & an IPA being introduced would have a major impact on caring & providing for me & my Little Girl who i have 50/50 shared custody with (Legal fight to get this as she had just turned 1yrs old at the time).
If this does happen then i thought the best thing to do was post my SOA here for people to comment. Maybe this will help or hinder my nerves more than normal but at least i know what the future holds.
The following maybe irrelavent but just wanted to explain as you will see certain costs higher because of these on my SOA. (Not looking or wanting sympathy. That boat has sailed along time ago. Just getting on with it for me & My Little girl!!!)
Thank you.

- I have no benefit help at all as only one parent by law is aloud to claim & my ex receives this. (Ex won't contribute a penny my way as already asked her. She is on slightly less a wage but with the benefits she significantly has more money in all).
- I have to supply all clothing for my daughter when she is with me as ex will only supply clothing in which she is picked up/returned in.
- The car i use is my Parents as mine was Sorn before bankruptcy & unable to afford to get fixed as this was very costly. Sold & money given to OR from sale. (Scrap Value).
Thank you.

If this has already been agreed by the OR in your BR then they won't change that and as you say you have no money to spare.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi Tigerfeet 2006.
That's the thing. My SOA was never mentioned at all in my telephone interview.
Its just because I've read some posts where the OR has come back to people 6months+ or towards the end of the Bankruptcy process & tried to get an IPA.
Think I'm looking for reassurance from the experts on here that there is no area in my SOA that the OR might try to trim down or worse not allow as they view it as more than reasonable later on in the process.

I never had any mention of an IPA (other than NT IPA, which didn't go ahead) during my year. The OR checked my incomings/outgoings in the first meeting and agreed my outgoings, and indeed agreed that I was allowed to contribute up to 50% to the household (at the time of the meeting I was on much, much lower earnings) and that if I should start earning more than 50% I should let him know. I feel blessed, as a 3 year IPA, after several years of struggling to pay off debts, etc, would have just finished me.
I would add in parking charges - I think going an entire year without even one itty bitty parking charge would be a phenomenal skill. xAD March 2014

Be reassured. If the OR didn't mention anything then all is fine. They know you can't get blood out of a stone. If you have an IPOQ then just submit the same figures if they are still the same and you will be fine.
Wood, there is no need to add anything as the OP is already operating in the negative.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Hi Wood.
Thanks for your view & your experience of how things went for you. I'm not looking to up any expenses as there is no room for any. No point in showing a cost if I cant cover for it in my outgoings, hense why I have nothing to put down for a Holiday. Hopefully this will change when my Little comes out of nappies in time. Just wanted peoples views on what I spend is seen as reasonable to them & there experiences.0 -
I understand that there's no need to add anything - but my experience is that the OR was sympathetic to costs that I would be entitled if I wasn't earning under what I needed.
If for example they had argued the toss over one of my other expenses....then that would have been useful.
Maybe that was treated differently because I wasn't sole contributor, I have no idea. Just passing it on.
Edited to say: If you don't put down a cost (maybe one that's currently covered by your parents contribution on an ad hoc basis) and you receive a pay rise that takes you above what you need then you have surplus that in reality you maybe don't have.
I've confused even myself now.AD March 2014

Haha. Think you've confused me a little as well but I know what your saying.
If the OR did for some reason say I have to much on an expenditure on a certain area like "Groceries or clothing"(which I don't think I have???) as all other costs are as good as fixed then I would ask for them to consider areas like Holidays then use that to cover what they have taken from them areas.
Like you I wouldn't like to have an IPA (especially for 3yrs) as things are already so tight. Just worried the OR might want an IPA for at least the bare minimum £20.
As for my Folks helping me out. This isn't all the time. Most months are fine then others are a killer like the 5week ones as going from being paid a 4week monthly wage to living a 5week month just kills me. (Thank God there is only 4 of these a year). My folks then help me to cover that extra week of costs. Its times like this when you miss an Overdraft but lucky to have my folks to support me & be my overdraft.0 -

If you have a pay rise then you submit a SoA with the new wage and add the things that you previously couldn't afford ie holiday.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Thanks Tigerfeet. This has been noted.0

Hi Noodles,
You have nothing to worry about with that SOA - as Tigerfeet says, you could have holidays in there (£40) and more housekeeping too.
In the very unlikely event that you are ever presented with an IPA to sign - get back on here without delay.
