Advice requested for lunch and an evening meal in Inverness city centre.
Wishing light meals (quality more important than quantity) that are reasonably priced with good service in a relaxed location desired.
Something better than a burger bar but not expensive (say a good soup/sweet for lunch and a bit better for dinner but not too spicy so curry would be out).
Within walking distance to Eden Court Theatre/city centre would be great as there is an elderly person in the (small) party and no car.
Any suggestions please?

Cinnamon indian restaurant.
Riva Italian.
Rocpool (a bit expensive but well worth it, superb).
Number 27.
McGonagalls steakhouse for VERY nice steak.
I worked up there for months and dinner was paid so I had the freedom to try lots of places and pick what I wanted and these stand out for me.0 -
The Mustard Seed, which is down at the river, is fabulous0

Hi all, Thanks for the advice.
A good selection there for those others that might visit.
Back home now and must admit that some of the menus for the places mentioned above looked very good. We had a look in passing on our 'walking tour'. However, as us oldies were tired out after all the daily walking, we took the easy option of eating in the hotel in the evening - probably not really much (if any cheaper) than the specialist restaurants and not as high quality but very relaxing and that was the need; eat, drink and sit back in the lounge then toddle up to bed.
Can agree with the recommendation for McGonagalls steakhouse - had lunch there one day and would add the Victoria cafe in the Victorian market for excellent coffee.0
