Tootoo keep posting, we'll help as much as we can. Also divide up the household chores into different days of the week (Monday: Laundry, Tuesday: clean bathroom etc), that should help.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

TOOTOO would it help to make a realistic list of what you would like to achieve in each day and cross things off as you do them? that would give you a feeling of progress as the list gets smaller. If you don't do all the things on the list, start tomorrows list with those things missed today. DD2 now 6 weeks a Mum has always run her days this way and is now still doing so but is making shorter more achieveable lists as baby is so small. It gives her a sense of things actually being done that need to be done and a sense of satisfaction at the end of each day, Lyn xxx.0

Thank you.
I have just done a stock take of the freezer/cupboards which I may pop up in a diff post and see if some kind people will suggest a meal plan.
I think I'm trying to do too much and I'm reaching burnout. Dividing into tasks and meal planning is first on the listMFW.....Apr 33 Aim - Dec 260 -

Hi tootoo I hope you're feeling a little less overwhelmed now.:o
I have a thought for you re paperwork; do you still get paper bills for things like electricity, gas, water, phone, broadband, tv, credit cards? I have "virtual" bills for all these - I get an email when my bill is available online, and just download a pdf of it, which I file in a dedicated Bills folder on the pc. I have folders within Bills for each utility, and sub-folders within those for the years. So the path would be, for instance, Bills / Anglian Water / 2014
It's much quicker to just click on "Save To" and then send it to the relevant folder; and by having it divided into years, it's easy to find a bill if you want to refer to it, and where you'd normally spend an hour or so shredding old bills when no longer needed, you just click and delete the folder for the oldest year.
I hope that made sense - I'm not the world's best at explaining things.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I know this isn't very mse but regarding the washing, when I found it all too much sometimes DH would just get me to fill a bin liner and he would drop it at the laundrette. A service wash and dry was about £10 but ofc if you did it yourself it was cheaper. Washing clothes was my biggest chore with 3 kids under 7! As for ironing, whats that?0

Hi TOOTOO how did it go today? Hope you got some of the things done that were on your list, small steps are a VERY good way to start, Lyn xxx.0

Just wanted to say good luck TooToo, a lot of us have been there before you and survived.
I'm sure that you'll get a lot of helpful replies. I know I've read a lot of threads on here in the same vein with a lot of useful advice.
One of the things that suited me was what I thought of as 'doubling up'. Cleaning the bathroom while supervising the kids in the bath, sorting clean laundry and putting it into the right rooms or even better, putting it away while they got their jamis on, cleaned teeth etc. It's surprising how much gets done if you can just think this way. (I remember my mother peeling potatoes for the next day in a bowl on her knee while watching telly. She also gave us the brasses to clean, socks to sort, little jobs like that. I still don't feel comfortable just watching telly!)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.
