Incorrect p60 employers error

A change of company name wouldn't require a TUPE transfer.

Thanks for all the responses I guess there would be not a lot I can do but pay the debt.
By the way we did not receive p45's as it was a tupe process, and I didn't investigate at the time due to the information given in the p60, as the p60 incorrectly stated previous employers pay, sure I thought my tax was a little lower and put that down to increase in tax code.
Will contact hmrc and explain the situation and I will see if I can pay it off interest free for the longest term possible.
I guess this is just one of those things where ships happen!0 -

Just do that, don't start negotiating on paying it off.
Before you go print out and read the content of the link in post 5 and make sure the HMRC employee knows you are referring to this.
Your new employer definately made a mistake and should have known.
You certainly have a chance, it is not all hard and fast with HMRC, they do negotiate.The only thing that is constant is change.0
