Do you have to attend wfi's while appealing

If you score 0 points on esa and appeal do they still send you for wifi's while you are appealing?

Yes, you do, or any benefits or any credits they are paying, will probably come to a halt.

Inform whoever you see that you are appealing the decision, though.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Are you sure about this? i wasn't asked to attend while i appealed and my appeal took 11 months. i can understand people placed in the wrag being sent wifi's but people who score 0 points as well?.

Morglin is correct, you are required to attend during appeal if invited.

If you are placed in the WRAG and are appealing for Support Group then you are required to attend WFIs if 'invited' to do so. I didn't think there was any obligation to attend WFIs if found 'fit for work'?

This is the impression i was under, Ive had to appeal twice now and never been asked to attend. both times i was found fit for work and eventually won both appeals

Neither did I. The reason being something to do with with those on ESA basic assessment rate (after scoring 0 points) weren't receiving the additional ESA component payment of WRAG or Support Group?

Although think there's been several changes which I'm not up todate with.

Whether claiming ESA, income support or JSA, it is advisable to attend any WFI's you are 'invited' to.

Not if you are in fact on ESA in the support group.

I guess i should have rephrased the question more clearly.

Do you get asked to attend wifi's wlie you are appealing a been found "fit for work" decision?. It makes sense people who are placed in the wrag and appealing to get in the support group being asked to attend but what about people who were found fit for work?

My understanding is yes - if they are being paid ESA.
This will not be the case until (at the earliest) after their reconsideration, when the mandatory reconsideration letter has been sent to them by the DWP, and after they send it back to the tribunals service who then sends it back to the DWP.

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/252065/dmg-vol9-ch53.pdf - once this has happened, someone becomes 'entitled to ESA' - and then as they are not in the support group, or getting NI only paid as would be the case after time limiting - they are allowed to be called for WFI.
