Over 60's Concessionary Travel.

The concessionary travel scheme for over 60's is currently under threat of extinction.
According to the Local Government Association (LGA) in England, funding for the scheme has decreased by ONE THIRD since 2010 although central Government claim the scheme is adequately funded.
In Wales, the scheme is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, who recently announced reduction in funding to bus operators. Consequently bus operators are reducing or withdrawing services.
As a pensioner, I will find it difficult to get around on limited public transport, and eventually become housebound.
So much for happy retirement.
