Are we eligible for any help?

Hi all
I currently work pretty much full time. I have a zero hour contract but each week is different so it works out that on average I do approx 30 hours a week @ £7.25 an hour (increased to £8.85 on Sundays). I take home around £1000-£1100 each month but some of this is mileage allowance.
My partner is currently on ESA due to bereavement. He has been claiming this around 4 months now. I have requested a housing benefit form to be sent out to us but I was just wondering if we were eligible for anything else because after I've paid the rent and bought food and paid bills I'm left with about £100 a month to live on!
We don't have any children together but he does have a 3 year old son who we usually have 1 or 2 nights a week.
Thanks for any help

Possibly WTC - put your details into a benefit calculator; turn2us is one that is mentioned lots on here.0

Probably better on the Benefits board, but if you put your details into the turn2us website you should get some idea of what you might be entitled to.

PS You don't have to answer this but I'm puzzled as to why your partner is still receiving ESA 4 months after a bereavement.0
