then the geography homework that ended in me having to answer why so many countries are named after a man called Stan .......he assumed every country with Stan as the last 4 letters was named after a famous Stan....who doesn't exist :(:(

Have to admit I was sitting there wondering what you would do if you had to explain Istanbul to him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It is going to take you forever to write that book, by the time you get time to do it it is going to be quite a tome :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning cheer1eader, I hope you are well. No as I don't drink drink coke or the other varieties of the drinks on offer. Are you?
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.

TM: Sorry to hear about your daughter's accident, I hope she's recovering well and it's not affecting her course :A

VT: Thanks for the heads up about the Lurpak and brownie tin. I did see it last week (I think it was a fiver then?) but I couldn't justify the money (thankfully got paid today :j), that and I have about 6 different sized brownie tins :D

FC: I'm with you with the knife/butter thing, with baking I use separate spoons with everything to avoid cross contamination! Usually end up using all the spoons in the house though :o

    QoC: Happy belated birthmas

    TS: Massive hugs :)

So the last few days have been massively un-MSE for me in terms of time and money. Yesterday I spent 4 hours picking up/dropping off various things around London within a 20 mile radius, then drove to Keighley/Bradford, getting stuck for 2 hours in stop/start traffic, then drove back to London. Essentially I used up all my money on fuel as the accounts department didn't believe me when I said 'literally if you don't give me expenses I can't leave', I submitted my receipts a week ago! Ended up borrowing money from my brother causing me to leave later and end up in rush hour traffic. Since I got my rental car, the coolant light has been a bleeping, which according to the hire car company 'was faulty, but the car is fine'. Usually I check the engine before epic drives but stupidly believed them until last night I had no heating in the car and it was filtering through the 3 degrees air from outside, so once I reached Bradford I checked the engine and it didn't have a cap on the expansion tank and the coolant had burnt off, along with the water. I phoned my boss and they said it'll be fine just drive back (as it was late by this point). I was perturbed at this point as I know how bloody dangerous that is but having no choice, I filled it with water and had to stop every hour or so to keep filling it up and going at a steady slow pace so the engine didn't overheat and blow up, as dramatic as that sounds. To add to my day on the way back to central London, I over took someone doing a little over 70mph and got flashed by a speed camera on the M1 :( by the time I got back around 3am, after leaving at 12pm, I pretty much feel asleep on the sofa as soon as I sat down.

This morning I spent 2 hours tracking down a replacement cap, as not many people stock it, called the hire car company and they had no replacements for the vehicle until Friday and they told me to sort out the problem and they will reimburse me. Essentially it cost me £22 and 4 hours to track and get to the dealership that had it in stock, but I feel  I drove people in that car and I hate the thought that I endangered others because of someone forgetting to put a bloody cap back on and everyone seems be laissez-faire about it. I'm going to compose a strong letter to the hire car company as this is not the first time they've given me a car without checking it first (one car they gave me had completely bald tyres!).

Sorry for the rant, just sleepy from faffing about (NOT a euphemism, for once :)) As promised here's a few photos from Saturday to yesterday including the smokin' hot Wilf.

I'm sorry your not feeling well. I hope it passes quickly. These pesky bugs keep making their rounds. I am feeling well. I have been lucky this year I have only had one cold.
