Resisted the temptation to go into a supermarket today
But a hailstorm made me cut through a department store, closing down. Saw a lovely double mattress for £300. I want it, need it and doubt I could get it for a better price elsewhere. I just can't afford it
Oh why oh why did I have to see it? My old mattress wouldn't have bothered me so much if I hadn't of seen this new onePan drawers in 2016 £1500 needed.0 -

You can't use a 'glitch price' as a benchmark for future shopping
You can:D, and it's simply extreme and much more effective money-saving in my view.
They aren't 1p in T - I know that - but some equally acceptable alternatives that, let's face it, are made with the same thing and is equally acceptable to me, have been at that price before. Why get £2.68 Ferrero when Thorntons chocs have been a penny before? And possibly still in date had they been bought back then.
I know. I'm extreme (sometimes!:D). Remembering the previous glitches does act as a brake on spending too much. Sometimes. And I'm big on switching brands and downshifting - just attempts to save more money and not been drawn in to paying more for something branded that is very probably made on the same production line in the same factory. And in any event very often (with a few exceptions) does the job just as well and counters the differentiation that advertisers want to create in order to sell more products at 'rip-off' pricing that the muggles do fall for. Just resist!:)0 -

Hypothetical......
So when you run out of the free bog rolls that you got with the coupons a few month back you are going to refuse to buy bog roll on the basis that it is too expensive because your bench mark price was free?
Extreme :rotfl::rotfl:Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
