    Debt-free and Proud!
After constant pestering from me my parents have just started planting herbs in the garden.

My Mum turned to me and said 'we buy herbs every week, 80p a pack. Last week I got 5, used a small amount and threw the rest away. This is much more economical'

:wall: You don't say! That's what I've been saying for about a year :rotfl:

But pleased they've suddenly realised how wasteful they were being. I even told my Mum you can freeze herbs but she turned her nose up *shakes head*
    Debt free 6th December 2014 :)

What a lovely position to be in.
My monthly grocery shopping has dropped dramatically in the last few months (not that it was ever excessive), to £10-£15 a month, and should stay that way for a while yet; I'm still working my way through the M/S stocks, and still have Dr O & McCains vouchers that I haven't used yet.:)

I'm sure this has been discussed many times before, is why more people don't save money like this? I can sort-of see that some people may feel nervous or unsure about some of the APGs/PPs/DTDs etc. Or don't have the time to study and understand some of the more complicated glitches. But the MOCs and vouchers should be do-able for most people, surely?
But I suppose if everyone did it, there would be less opportunities all round.

    [Mini-moan/rant warning.:(]
I've sometimes explained bargains and glitches (which I've gleaned from the Elite, kudos to all here:T) to muggle friends and family, and some have 'got it' and benefitted. And when I see them next they ask me about any new bargains. So I'm happy to keep helping them if I can.
Others, I can tell, just can't be bothered or aren't interested. With one friend, a single mum with young children who doesn't have a lot of money, I try and pass on the mum 'n' baby bargains & glitches (no good for me, no Jelly Tots). One time recently, I'd gone to the trouble of getting some baby-related vouchers and she said "More vouchers?" ... but not in a "Great, more vouchers, thanks!" way, in a "Oh no, not more vouchers!"
So I've decided it's my very-belated New Year's Resolution not to go out of my way to help out anyone who doesn't anything about it.
Or is that a bit mean-spirited?:o
JB what mccains vouchers? just used 2 of the dr o panebellos vouchers in t's & got paid 50p per pizza :j

EmmaP :) I'm pretty sure you can only split the TCB payout when you have amounts payable from 2 or more merchants, if you have a nice chunk from 1 merchant then no, you have to have it all paid the same way.

I'm happy to be corrected! The only time I ever saw the "split payout by merchant" option was when I had money owing from 2 merchants.

Usually I withdraw it straight away!
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

Is there anything better than the Apple Lattice Pie that compares to cheaper at A? I know - appears to be part of meal deal so didn't pay £2.70 in first place so didn't actually lose by missing vs M (instead didn't get what could have gained, if only other items had compared vs M). I'd much prefer it if that Lattice Pie compared to £1.39 A! I assume (big mistake!:D) that no desserts can be found to compare to, and to return even more, vs A? Another £1.30 off that £2.73 would have been nice.
    there were 3 desserts to choose from & all 3 were n/a v A's
although the one i got yesterday was lemon swirl cheesecake ;) now we've got all 3 desserts :rotfl:
