Anyone good at ideas for unusual birthday??

My daughter's 4th bday is coming up. I would love to do something a little different.
My first plan is to do a birthday fete. Hire a hall, have different stalls i.e. knock off a tin with beanbags, lucky dip, face painting etc - with a few games in between and party food.
Does anyone have a different idea that is a little unusual?
I would love to get a few different ideas?

I don't know what you class as unusual but i thought this was a great idea for my daughters 4 (although it was mainly because i didn't have time to do/tidy up the whole party thing, due to a wedding dance the same day).
I got her to pick 5 friends and took them to the riding stables for a 1/2 hour lesson followed by a picnic by the river and a few outdoor games. They had a great time. Her invites weren't the typical b/day party ones. we bought little blank-inside cards and called it a tea party!
went down a treat!0 -

We had a pyjama party for my DD's 5th birthday. They all came dressed in their pyjamas and dressing gowns. We did various games, bubble machine, disco ball & music then they had tea on a load of duvets and pillows. It went down very well.0

We had a circus party, kids all dressed up as circus acts and we did a circus parade round the garden before they were fed hotdogs, hamburgers, popcorn etc. They all had a bag of candy floss and balloons and clown badges to take home. We played pin the nose on the clown, pass the parcel with confetti and large glitter pieces between each layer of paper and musical clowns!Pucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0
