If you have £50k plus, which may be the case with a transfer in, then Skandia via Cavendish seems the cheapest option at 0.25%. Skandia Index Balanced as a multi asset fund option is only 0.2% so all in for a TER of 0.45% seems reasonable.

SL seems a bit odd as it says over £56k is 0.45%, some of its multi asset funds have no additional AMCs yet is saying the TER is 1% on its factsheet

I have done quite a lot of reading since my original post and I am veering towards the Vanguard LS products for ease. I am unsure whether these are particularly low cost given the platform charges? Can I get the equivalent investment using alternative funds and lower TER?

I have also posted on the ISA forum as I am looking to also invest in S&S ISA for this year and going forward. I wonder what the thoughts are on investing in the same funds for both a pension and ISA?

I appreciate given the Ltd Company situation that investing directly into the pension brings corporation tax benefits but I also like the flexibility the ISA brings, so I am looking at a similar split of money into both and also a similar timeframe of 10 years.

Pension-wise I am also looking to transfer my current Scottish Widows funds (approx 100k at present) into the new pension. Currently I'm invested in the following SW funds:

    Property: 5%
SW SSgA Int Eq Indx: 70%
    All Share Tracker: 25%

Any thoughts on moving from the current SW setup/split into a Vanguard LS 60/40?

Any alternatives to consider or different viewpoints on Pensions/ISA decisions etc.

    Cheers!

Quite a few personal pensions have decent mixed investment (20-60 or 40/85) equity funds which are cheaper than the VLS and performed in a comparable way.

I'll take a look dunstonh. Anyone else with any thoughts on the above, specifically moving the SW pension into a new personal pension (and transferring into the Vanguard LS fund or similar)?
