Next week i have to deliver a 10 minute presentation, i can use powerpoint too.
I want to do something quite easy and simple but fun. If possible somewhat audience involved or even just slight interaction.
Your idea's are well appreciated… here is what i have lined up so far.
Origami
How to make a cup of tea
Paper Airplane
Kind regards

Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

Talk to them without tech, use a flip chart unless you are expected to show your tech expertise. Take a kettle and some teabags and tell them nobody said I need to bring cups, spoons, milk, sugar etc. :cool:4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . It's rare for Powerpoint to add 'fun' to a presentation.
All the examples you've given are hands-on activities. Not sit-and-watch-a-slide activities. So not really conducive to Powerpoint.
Other than when you need a well thought out visual graphic to illustrate the point you're making in words, or where you need to use imagery to set a mood to make people more likely to be swayed by your point of view, there are very few presentations where Powerpoint works as a benefit rather than a hindrance.0 -
What the others have said.
Death by PowerPoint is excruciating and should be avoided. Use it by all means but an endless flow of slides with you giving a running commentary, or worse reading what is written on the slides is to be avoided at all costs.
After all, you have been asked to do the presentation not the PC.
One of my most memorable and enjoyable meetings was the one where the boss said at the start of the meeting that anyone using PowerPoint would be sacked.
Everyone managed to do their bit and it was hugely entertaining. We might have looked like five year olds with a flip chart but we survived. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Do a power point presentation on what can go wrong with power point presentations.0

Using a whiteboard/flipchart adds some energy to a presentation.
TBH, if you can present on any subject I'd do it on the thing in your life you are most passionate and knowledgeable about. That way the nerves will last for about 1 minute before you launch into your pet subject.
Oh and don't go for the 'hilariously funny' or 'quirky' routes. They rarely work.0 -
If you do use powerpoint for your presentation, don't spell the plural of idea as idea's.
