How to remove the smoke smell from a faux leather sofa

We have been lucky enough to buy a 2nd hand faux leather black sofa. We have cleaned it with spray on liquid leather cleaner, however the smell of smoke which for some reason we didn't notice in the first place is still overbearing. It really does smell badly of it. Can anyone please suggest anything that may remove the smell. I've had the windows open to circulate some fresh air as well thanks
