  • Hi everyone, I need some inspiration of what to do (MSE-wise of course) for our week off. Nothing planned at all and we need to do something otherwise I think we will go bananas. Mr Pumpkin is off as of weds for five days, and have been looking at Ryanair/Easyjet type pages like a naughty schoolgirl. There is nowhere in particular we want to go but would just like a break from routine. I have a £33 rail voucher to use up as I was delayed on a nightmare journey to Manchester a while back, so trip could include using this. I've put quite a large amount into my savings this month and can realistically see us overpaying again in May/June until savings are back up to a better level. Thank you for any help!

Our home is lovely, and would feel even better if it were mortgage free:rotfl:

  • I love a trip to London to the museums whenever I can. Takes the train (voucher) and £land snacks for the train. Tube to Kensington , Lunch out there's a lovely (and not expensive) cafe in NHM downstairs and trip to NHM, V and A and science museum (all free). Just avoid the gift shops, and shoos in general!
  • Well we didn't go away, but have put a deposit down on a little puppy! He will be coming to live with us 1st week of April. Cannot wait. Have spent the majority of this week decorating what I can (with free paint that's already in our cupboard!) so not to be bored, so far its seems to be working! Helped my friend out on Monday. She has just had a baby so I offered to walk her two dogs, it rained so much and was saturated but really enjoyed myself. Didn't cost a penny either and felt really good afterwards. Can't wait to get to grips with our new arrival. Had a nice letter from opticians this morning to say DD is reducing, so a bit extra in the bank. Am aiming for June for our next OP, once everything has settled down a bit. Hope everyone has a great day!
