Hi all :)

I have recently become addicted to entering comps, i have won one prize but it has already saved me lots of money. Before i found this site i was a big MMORPG gamer but have since un-subscribed to them all!! saving me around £40+ a month :T

I enter the comps after work for around 3 hours on an evening and pretty much all weekend after housework, washing, ironing and all the other boring stuff.

I am finding i have about an hour left on an evening after entering the non daily stuff, so my question is what should i enter out of the dailies?.....is it better to enter all mag dailies on once a week or pick a mag and enter that one every day or just do the instant wins?

Any tips greatly appreciated :)

If you're intent on doing the dailies. Why not just enter them once. I comp by end date (and check the new posts for dailies, instants, long ongoing comps) and enter the mag "dailies' once.

You could pick the prizes you really want - maybe a TV and enter that every day if you wanted.

Just like the clicktowin - I enter one site and just pick the prizes I want. I get distracted to easily to sit and do all of them.

You could also get ahead by comping by end date - I'm on the 24th and it's the furthest I've been ahead in a long time. Then I only have to check the day after work and do all the ones I've missed! :)

There's probably people with better systems than that - but if you've only got a small amount of time, my suggestion is just pick the ones you want to win the most.

    Hope that helps. xx

This is very much a personal choice and I suspect you will get many different views - there is no right answer at all!

I am a great believer in maximising my entries to the mag dailies I want to win, and have won quite a bit from them. I am able to do all the mag dailies in about 35-40 minutes a day so that is one option.

I would also advocate getting ahead on end dates. I keep trying because there are always hundreds that finish on the last day of the month that I miss otherwise. I know that some people do a few pages of the comps for the end of the month every day so that is another possibility.
  • Thanks for replies :).......think i might be being a tad dim-witted here but how do i comp by end date?....is there a way to list the the competitions by end date ?...or simply just look at the post title and do that way?

using the buttons at the bottom of the forum. Sort by Thread title, then AS/DEC and beginning :)

You can then work through. If you search you only get abut 300 entries, which is not enough for EOM competitions.

It is about finding a way to use your time in the best way possible that suits you and I think everyone will have certain ways of doing certain things that suit them best. This will take time for you to find but maybe if you are on limited time then Mag dailies might be best left and you concentrate on comps on the main board first and then if you do have any spare time look at the mag dailies but that is something you can only decide yourself. When you mention instant wins do you mean the Mag instant wins? because if so then I think you are probably wasting your time all together with these and your time could be used better elsewhere. Good luck with all you do it will take a little while but you will find ways to suit your own personal needs and soon get into a rhythm

I sort by end date too. Unfortunately I am not ahead at all at the moment, and entering comps for tomorrow, but if you can manage to get ahead by even a few days, gives you a buffer if you decide to "take a day off" Recently got back into comping after a fairly long break, and find just as addicted as the last time. Had some decent wins over last three or four weeks too.

    Good Luck. :D
