We have bought a new house and will be moving in next week. I need to buy loads of things and am looking for ideas/deals.

1. Removals van (Ruislip area)
2. Fridge-freezer
3. Washer dryer
4. Gas cooker
5. Dyson vacuum cleaner
5. Sky tv

These are the big items I am after. Please please help with any deals/discounts you might be aware of.

Many thanks in advance.

I think there i a post somewhere regarding a deal on sky where you can get sky+ for no subscription it is on here somewhere maybe grabit?

The white goods, you will get nowhere with the multi national companies like currys and dixons maybe free delivery but that is it I bought a seperate larder fridge and a freezer a few weeks ago for my gran they had seen it in currys so we went I got the details and checked the web while in the store and found them cheaper at Empire direct by about £140 for the 2 items and all they offered was free delivery even though they have a price match policy. empire is a bricks and morter store so they will price match but refused this time.

As you are buying 3 maybe 4 items from a single store you could get them to give you a discount so just ask you have nothing to loose.

for removals you have 2 options hire a van and do it yourself or hire a company to do it for you. personally I would pay someone to do it, I know its not money saving but moving a house's contents is a lot of work and well worht paying for. your only problem is ypur time scale wanting to move so soon I dont know if any removals companies will be able to fit you in. I would go to people that have moved in to your area and ask them who they used to move rather than scouring the yellow pages.

If you join your local freecycle group, you can request these items for free if someone no longer needs them. Good luck!
