Hello
I guess I'm looking for reassurance but my story so far is we have a full mortgage offer , Exchanged misses and now all parties and now tied in to this purchase. This is my dream home and security for my family. We are first time buyers also.
I can't help stress and worry that something with go wrong, even tho everything is ok. Is this common? We get the keys in 2 weeks and 5 days and I've not packed a single thing arghhhh just looking for some reassurance our credit files are great we had an outstanding HP which has just finished now and mortgage company very happy etc
Am I just worrying over nothing? I think I'm starting to suffer with anxiety arghhh
Thanks for reading this pointless post

Completion is set when contracts are exchanged. So many variables before exchange that can cause a change in plans.
Do start sorting out now. Moving house is a great opportunity to declutter. Give unwanted items to charity shops and other good causes rather than dump them.0 -
Thank you, I'm really not enjoying the waiting, were transferring our solicitor fees and stamp duty the week before we complete just so I no it's gone and been recieved in plenty of time and the solicitors have all the documents they need so nothing outstanding now! Just the completing bit, I actually just checked my mortgage tracker and it says completion date the 27th but we get keys on the 28th, Is the 27th the official date monies are exchanged etc etc?
Thanks for your advice starting packing on Wednesday0 -
Are you in a chain?0

I'm not sure what you mean?0

In a chain to mean that you are also selling your house so are dependant on both sales for things to go ahead.I'm guessing not as you are first time buyers.
Good luck! But definately start packing!Back on the trains again!0 -
Moving home is a time of change and many of us find this difficult.
It is extremely rare for a sale to fall part following exchange.
Make a cup of tea and write a list of what you need to do.
Tackle each item one at a time, starting with the ones that are worrying you most.I am a Mortgage Broker

Aww thank you,
Yeah first time buyers so it is exciting but scary lol, We handed our notice into the property we live in now and have new people moving in here on the 4th of April so I am going to start packing tomorow lol
Thanks a lot xxx0 -
I'm not sure what you mean?
You are buying somebody elses property. They need the sale to complete on their purchase. And so on and so on.
So while you're up to speed. Those higher up the chain will behind you in terms of dotting i's and crossing t's.
All parties in the chain need to be in a position to exchange on the same day.0
