Budapest, incidentally, is very beautiful but my helpful tip is - do not go in the winter! Apart from that it it's a lovely place :)

We did Budapest in February... Absolutely beautiful...
And Tallinn in November.... I think these places are even more special in the winter :)

The thing I find frustrating about those comps is they say "A grand prize from Grand Hotel Budapest"... And grand prize usually means a book or a CD... :rotfl:

Perhaps it was just a bad winter for us - very slushy snow and seemingly endless supplies of it. It was never one thing nor t'other and whilst we don't mind cold or snow - well - slushy snow is just horrid stuff. It's wet and cold and there's not a single good thing about it that I can think of! Prague in winter was delightful and we always go to Venice in winter. It's virtually tourist free and although cold the days are mostly bright and crisp and clear. Lovely.
