Hi,
I'm making my son a birthday cake... it's going to be a hockey puck so the plan is to put black icing over a Victoria sponge cake and then add his hockey number on top.
My cake tins are 20cm so how much icing would I need? Im hoping one of the supermarkets have the black roll out icing (sure it's got a proper name
)
Also I slipped up and told him about the cake so now I can't even back out lol.

20 cm - 8" - 875g roll out icing (sugarpaste). I might use something a bit firmer than a Victoria sandwich - more of a madeira type cake.0

I'm pretty sure i got black roll out icing in a big asda superstore a while back so it might be worth trying there.0
