PCWorld giftcards not excepted online

I bought a giftcard for PCworld because through the countdown website they can be bought for 6% off. An extra saving I thought would be useful.
When the time came to replace my laptop I found a good deal on a Sony Vaio, an end of line model so it was marked down in PCworld. It was available both in-store & online for ~ £730. But via the website it had an extra 10% off.
Which brought it into a bracket I'd consider buying at. Then I found out PCWorld don't accept their own giftcards online :mad: and they wouldn't honour the 10% in store.

Is it legal for PCWorld not to accept giftcard payments online & should I report them to Trading Standards.

Is it legal? Yes - they can set their own terms for the use of giftcards.
Should you report them? Not a lot of point, but your decision.
