answer: Historic Celtic Design
comp closes 31/07, not 31/06 as they state
Ola Gorie is one of Britain's most important jewellery designers of recent times. A pioneer in the 1960s, she explored her Celtic and Norse heritage to find inspiration for stylish, wearable, modern jewellery. Ola was born and still lives in the Orkney Islands. All the jewellery that bears her name is made here, and made to the very highest standards by island craftspeople.
Amongst the smallest, most remote of the Orkney Islands, strong tides rush between the Holms of Aikerness. This design of the pendant captures the swirling currents and spectacular breakers on their rocky shores, in a free, modern style, which hints at the influence of historic Celtic design.
