Northern Rail. Expired Pass

Hi, I made a big mistake today. I didn't realise that my system one 28 day pass had expired by 2 weeks. I know I was stupid. I had the previous months pass and the current one which i thought was in date in the wallet. I showed it to the ticket person on the train who noticed that it was 2 weeks out of date. I have been so busy/ill recently that i just completely forgot that it had expired. I was very apologetic to the man and offered to pay the fair immediately which i did. he told me to go to the end carriage maybe to get a clearer picture of me of their cameras. he also took the old cards off me and instead of chip and pin my debit card, swiped it and made me sign. I'm fine about paying a penalty because it was my own stupid fault for not realising but could it be prosecuted/taken to court. It was on a nothern rail train.

Your best bet is to post on this forum:
You will need to supply more detail though.
    E.g.
Were you asked for your name and address?
    Were you given any paperwork?

Hi. He didn't ask for any details. But I'm thinking he can get my details from my bank card and the old passes he took off me as they have a unique number on them which matches my photo card number.

If he didn't ask for your name and address, then I would be pretty sure that you have heard the last of this episode.
