50 inch Plasma Tv £899 - Cheap???

Hi all

Im currently looking for a 50 inch plasma/LCD TV. Im on a tight budget so the cheaper the better.
I've managed to find the following tv:

http://www.laskys.com/tv_and_dvd/plasma_tvs/plasma_tvs_50_inches_and_above/lg_50pc1d.html

There’s mixed review about this product, but for the price you really cant complain.

Any advice or thoughts about this product would be greatly appreciated or any other TVs out there that you would recommend.

Thanks

your best bet is to go to avforums.com and ask there....

infact read a thread in the lcd section where people replied similar to - that sort of budget you should be looking for a good 42" tv instead of a bad 50" tv

someone mentioned the other week that Laskys is owned by Comet

"2.4. Since the early 1980s, the company has continued to develop its commercial activities. In
1984 it acquired Comet, which at the time sold a range of low-priced white and brown goods and
small electrical appliances from `warehouse'-type buildings. Comet's activities were subsequently
reinforced by the purchase of the Ultimate chain in 1987, the Connect chain in Northern Ireland in
1988, and the Laskys chain in 1989. Ultimate and Connect have been assimilated into Comet; most
of the Laskys stores have also been assimilated, although a few still trade under the Laskys name."

Hi I bought myself a new TV it was a 37 inch LCD.
I was going to buy a plasma TV but there was no extended warranty offered with a plasma, which of course put me right off.

You can buy this TV (50" LG) from Empire Direct with a 3 year warranty for around £1050 which is not bad if you want a warranty
