BTL landlords also provide homes to people who cannot afford to buy now, or at any time, regardless of house prices. Should they join your protest?.floridaman wrote: »Current home owners are likely to have kids so they are connected to this mess weather they like it or not. I don't blame current home owners who own a home to live in but we should all protest against people who own a home to make money from - BTL should be taxed so high that it makes it unattractive0 -
Ooooo you make my blood boil I bet you sit in front of your screens laughing0

Inhibit btl more than it already is will cause rents to rise. This hurts people saving a deposit. I certainly couldn't have become an owner without renting first. Renting gave me the opportunity to save.0

I must say it was more amusing a couple of years ago when prices weren't rising and the rampers were getting really desperate, even claiming austerity must end otherwise we'll be under the Nazi jackboot soon :rotfl:0 -
Same as what they did 15 years ago - everything was fine pre 19970
