I'm not sure when the next episode is on though?
I'm not too sure, I didn't see past the end credits! It would be good to see.0 -
All fad diets are doomed to failure. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
People who are booked in for weight loss surgery usually have to go on a special diet to shrink their liver prior to surgery.
It is usually for 1 or 2 weeks depending on your weight and consists of semi skimmed milk and sugar free jelly instead of all meals. If you don't lose weight they usually refuse to do the op.
A neighbour of mine did it for 10 days prior to her op and lost a stone.0 -
Thank you for the input everyone.
It was on the programme '70 stone and almost dead' where I saw it too.
It's a one-off programme, and if anyone wants to watch it, it's on again on Channel 5 on Thursday at 12.15pm. I think it's repeated again on 5* at 4pm.
And like someone said earlier in the thread; I felt very very sorry for him too. I don't think people get THAT big just because they're 'greedy,' and 'lazy,' there is obviously a lot more to it.
Thanks to everyone. I guess it is a pretty extreme diet, as are most liquid diets. Probably good for quick weight loss, but then not healthy. And of course, you'd regain the weight quickly.
No quick weight loss is ideal is it really?
Well it IS, but it goes back on quickly.
Thanks again.
Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
You're not singing anymore........ You're not singing any-more!

Quick weightloss is everyone's dream isn't it? I remember a few years ago I had a major IBS flare up. I basically had diarrheoa for 6 weeks, every time I ate anything, even half a slice of dry toast, Id be on the loo for hours. In fact, the only thing I could eat was fresh pineapple. The upside was that I lost loads of weight, 2 stone in 6 weeks, but really not the best way too lose weight!0
