Had a phone call to say I have won a runners up prize of 4 weekend passes for this event, worth £400. This takes place on my son's 18th b'day weekend and as he wants to be a sci fi/fantasy author it will be fantastic for him.







I resisted the promoter's offer of a 'heavily discounted' chalet at £300 and have booked a privately owned larger caravan on the same site for £75. Bargain!!

Congratulations. A few of us have won this before but not taken as it seemed a bit scammy..pay an admin fee etc. Be interesting to know what it's actually like!

I was a bit suspicious at first because I saw that other people had been told they'd have to pay the booking charge for similar 'wins'. I queried this and was told there was no booking charge as the tickets were a prize. I have an email and booking ref confirming that the tickets are booked.
They were very keen to get me to book the official accommodation because there had been 'some cancellations', even offering an extra night free. A quick internet search brought up details of approx 50 private caravans on the Haven site, all considerably cheaper.
Hopefully a fun weekend for not much cost and full access to all the site facilities including the pool complex.
