anyone have a win by not entering many comps?

Options
I am just getting back into comping after being ill for a few weeks. I'm only entering not nearly half the amount I used to do each day. I know the more you enter, the more chance you have of winning, but I was wondering if any folk on here don't enter a lot (I mean about 20 or less a day!) but have still won?

I think you have more chance the more you do as you're spreading your entries over more competitions. It also depends on the competitions that you're doing.

But, at the end of the day, you only need to have the one winning entry. There's people on here doing 100 a day and never win, then others who win regularly:) x

I've only been entering about that many this year. I won 4 prizes in January and 5 prizes in February. I tend to go to a site once a month, then enter all the competitions on that site. I also enter Facebook competitions when they pop up on my feed.

I always think it's luck of the draw - I enter a lot more than you, maybe ten times... But then if I only had one tenth of my prizes so far this year, that's still at least a prize a month on my statistics.

It also depends on which you're entering - if all 20 or so you enter are ITV / cash / big holiday prizes, the odds are less in your favour.

Yes I agree, most of the competitions that I've been entering are for smallish prizes. I've had quite a few wins from craft magazines, which I enter every month. I love sewing and knitting so any prizes of this type are like getting a lovely surprise present in the post.

I've not regularly entered the ITV ones for ages, although now and then I do a full day's worth of competitions ending on that day, so I know I could still have a big win, even if it is unlikely.

I enter 100 a week maximum, sometimes less if I haven't got the time. I haven't won anything since November and that was £100 vouchers but back in 2012 I won 3 holidays! Bahamas, Cayman Islands and South Africa - so it's all the luck of the draw.

I wish I could enter more but with a full-time job and 5 teenage kids it's just not possible.
