i went bankrupt in april this year, i am now discharged (just last week) i lost my job when i found out i had cancer and bankrupty was really my only way out. now i am discharged i pay back an amount each month which comes directly out of my wage (new job).
i have met a new partner and we want to buy a house together, apart from some late payments his credit is fine.
any advise/tips would be great :0)
thanks in advance

Good luck. Gill Hankey at the Bankruptcy Advisory Service has a mortgage broker on tap who can find mortgages with no interest rate penalty but she charges a membership fee of £25 per year AFAIR

Hiya Bex,
Its good to hear from you.
All what you want depends on what you have got. Is there a deposit? When you say the 'odd' payment to your OH is that one month or several?
Possibly Id think of stepping one back, My partner and I was B in Nov.... It takes years to get back on the ladder...

hello
Mikey: we are working on getting the deposit together and my OH late payments are few and far between. i wont consider going into debt again other than for property so buying might be a while off due to saving for a good deposit. thank you for the understanding :0)
thought this site was for help and advise but some replies iv had on other threads have been very nasty, just hope they never end up in my position.
Coner: thank you i didnt know they had a broker at the BAS, that is something i will deffo be looking into. my main worry was that we would never be concidered because of me but maybe there is hope after all.
thank you both very very much and take care. x0
