To search for twitter comps that are active as it pulls up the game over ones too when I just search twitter? trying to tidy up my following.

I don't know a way to do that, but when it comes to twitter comps I do have a good tip.

Make some lists on twitter to keep things in. Private lists are good. I have them set up for the weekly ones eg "week - Monday" but I also have one for each month.

When I enter a comp, I follow the tweeter and put them in a relevant list eg "april". Then once it's midway through the next month, you go in to the list and bring up the names of the people on it. Unfollow everyone and then delete the whole list.

The only thing I really have to do is double check if I'm entering a comp with someone I've already followed. Sometimes I need to change which month they are kept in for the new end date of the more recent comp.

I also have a general list called 'Competitions' that I use for people I enter regularly and need to be following pretty much all the time. Maybe people who have weekly or fortnightly comps but not on a set day.

Sorry for the waffle but I hope it helps with ideas for organising Twitter follows.
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!

If you click on "Advanced Search" you can untick "Also search in child forums" in the bottom right corner of the form so it only searches the main board,

That might do what you want.

I think if you do an advanced search there is a tick box near the bottom that says "also search in child forums". If you untick that box that shouldn't show those in GO
